Lewis & Clark Trails
River Overlook, Limestone Bluff, Earth Lodge Trail & Meadow Trail
Time: All day! Dusk to dawn.
Length of Hike: .5 + .5 + .75 + 1 = Approximately 2.5 miles combined
Difficulty: Easy to Moderate
Additional Information: Self-guided hikes. The Center will be closed for the holidays and no staff will be present. Trails are developed and marked. Maps are posted at trail heads next to the Center’s main building. Maps are also available on our website. Please follow the link listed below.
The hikes will be mostly through woodland and open prairie. The hikes will be of particular interest to bird enthusiasts. A great chance to hike off a couple extra holiday pounds! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Hikers can choose flat, moderate, or hilly terrain. Recommended dressing in layers so that clothes can be removed as one warms up. A hiking stick and bottle of water will be handy, and cameras or binoculars are recommended. Stout footwear is a must and waterproof boots are recommended for hiking through snow.
