Some, like Monarch, are known to migrate, but some adults enter a state of "diapause", like hibernation, and come out of shelter on a warm day in March, and sometimes February, along most wooded paths and hiking trails near the river. The Missouri River Basin Lewis & Clark Visitor Center is hosting its annual Native American Artifact Show on Saturday, March 8, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. The show will feature authentic Native American artifacts from a number of private and public collections.
